The Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation Society, in cooperation with the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad, will be running special railroad excursions on Saturday and Sunday, December 10-11, 2011. Each trip will be a round-trip excursion lasting approximately one hour.
Trips will depart from East Stroudsburg, PA on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM
Trains will depart from Delaware Water Gap, PA on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM
Trips will depart from Cresco, PA on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM
Trips will depart from Tobyhanna, PA on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM
During each trip, Santa Claus will be walking through the entire train visiting every child on board. Santa's helpers will also be there distributing a special gift from Santa to each child.
Proceeds from these excursions will go towards the restoration of our vintage historical dining cars.
Make sure to bring your camera to take photos of the kids with Santa!
Coach seating is available in the Society's two climate-controlled Dieseliner cars, with tickets costing $13 for adults, and $7 for children under 10.
First Class seating is available in the bedrooms of the Society's vintage Pullman car, City of Lima. Each of City of Lima's 6 bedrooms can accommodate 2 people, and adjoining rooms can be combined to seat a party of 4. Solo riders wishing a private bedroom must pay for both seats in the room. First class tickets are $25 each.
Special Railfan all-day seating is available in City of Lima's roomettes for the 9:30 AM East Stroudsburg departure on Saturday, and the 9:30 AM Cresco departure on Sunday. Roomette passengers will be allowed to ride all excursions on the ticketed day. Each roomette can seat one person, and tickets are $50 each.

Please arrive at the station at least 20 minutes before scheduled departure time. Public parking is available for all station sites.
East Stroudsburg - Take Interstate 80 to Exit 308 - East Stroudsburg. Make a RIGHT turn at the top of the ramp onto Prospect Street. Follow approximately 0.7 miles to Analomink Street. Make a LEFT turn onto Analomink Street. Proceed 300 feet and make a LEFT turn onto South Kistler Street. Immediately make a RIGHT turn into the station parking lot. The station and tracks will be immediately in front of you.
Delaware Water Gap - Take Interstate 80 to Exit 310. Take Broad Street and make a LEFT turn at traffic light onto PA 611 South. Turn LEFT at the Sycamore Grill Restaurant onto Oak Street. At the stop sign, turn LEFT (still Oak Street) and proceed over I-80. Go through the gate and down the hill. Station is at the bottom of the hill.
Cresco - From Mt. Pocono and the West - Take PA 940 East. Make a LEFT turn onto 390 North. Travel 1.3 miles and then make a LEFT turn onto PA 191 North / PA 390 North. Travel another 1.3 miles and cross over the railroad on a bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge make a RIGHT turn onto Hardytown Road. At the end of this road, 300 feet, make a right turn onto Sand Spring Drive. Proceed straight ahead into the station parking lot.
Cresco - From Analomink and the East - Take PA 191 North. Upon reaching Cresco cross over the railroad on a bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge make a RIGHT turn onto Hardytown Road. At the end of this road, 300 feet, make a right turn onto Sand Spring Drive. Proceed straight ahead into the station parking lot.
Tobyhanna - From I-380 North - Take Exit 8 - PA 423 Tobyhanna. Make a RIGHT turn at the top of the ramp onto PA 423 North. Follow for 0.5 miles. Make a LEFT onto Main Street, proceed 400 feet and then make a RIGHT turn onto PA 423 - Church Street. Station is on your LEFT just before the railroad crossing.
Tobyhanna - From I-380 South - Take the Exit for Tobyhanna – Army Depot. Make a RIGHT turn onto PA 611 South. Follow for 0.7 miles. Make a LEFT turn onto PA 423 North - Church Street. Station is on your LEFT just before the railroad crossing.
